I regularly commute to the Recurse Center, in downtown Brooklyn, from my home, in Williamsburg. These two neighborhoods are well connected, and, if you squint your eyes a bit and loosen your definition of "reasonable commute", you can get to and fro via every form of NYC public transit. It may not be convenient or cost effective, but it'll be fun.
Way colder than yesterday, my hands were freezing. But, more comfortable on the route so it felt safer, and made it in 16 minutes.
The Kent Ave bike path is brilliant. It only took 19 minutes to get to the hub. But, it's a bit cold, a bit sketchy once you hit Myrtle Ave, and a bit expensive.
B62 again. ~50 minutes. Easy, smooth ride, no weed.
L > G. ~35 minutes, the trains appeared like magic for me.
B62, then a short walk to the RC. ~50 minutes. Comfortable ride but bus smelled like weed.
